Lights, Camera, POTUS

I had the amazing opportunity to intern in the White House Photo Office this past fall. It was a very interesting and insightful look into the inner workings of a government photo office. The bulk of the internship was centered around the editing aspect be it special projects, FLICKR edits, or prepping images for distribution. When I was not behind a computer I was fortunate enough to be thrown into the amazing controlled chaos of “the pool” that hovers around events involving the President (POTUS) and Vice President (VPOTUS). This environment is one that takes time getting used to. Chris Gregory put together a really great behind the scenes look at the photographers that do this kind of work day in and day out entitled The Well: Covering Capitol Hill . All in all, a great experience, thanks very much to Pete Souza and the entire White House team for having me. Enjoy.
