So this session really helped me step back out of my “all video, all the time” mindset I’ve been in for the last 8 months. It was not only great to get back to Texas and shoot stills again, but to meet and work with such an awesome couple. It is one thing to have a vision and mold it with the couple you are working with, but it is another to have creative freedom (15 year expired 120 film) and a number of visually inviting places to shoot including the old stomping grounds I hadn’t seen in years (Deep Ellum, Ft. Worth Botanical Gardens). Kendra/Adam, Thanks again for being so flexible during the shoot and relaxed, it definitely helped! Looking forward to photographing the wedding later this year. Enjoy!

It’s been too long since I’ve had an official post so I thought I would assemble a collage of some snapshots I’ve taken since I’ve been in DC. Enjoy

    these are so great, spenny!!!

I had a nice opportunity to second shoot for Monti Perkins on June 11, 2011 for the wedding of Cheryl + Jeremy Pope at Hyde Park Baptist Church. As hot as it may have been that day, everything came together nicely for images both inside and outside. Congratulations again to the happy couple.

Spent some much needed time out in the hill country with some friends outside of Mason, TX. Just something about driving a Jeep with the windows down on a dirt road, Johnny Cash on the speakers while rolling up to a house built by a soldier from the Texas Revolution in the 1830’s. It doesn’t get any more Texan. Here is an edit via Holga (with 10 yr old film) and my Nikon. Enjoy.

I was fortunate enough to shoot a beautiful wedding at the Thistle Hill Mansion in downtown Ft. Worth on March 12, 2011 for my old friend Megan and her fiancé Jeff. It was a great reunion and awesome place to shoot. Thanks so much to the Chalifoux and Wren family for their assistance during the day and letting me capture it for you all. Congratulations again to Megan and Jeff Chalifoux! Enjoy!
